CLENZOIL Military Field and Range Gun Oil Solution
Clenzoil “Field and Range”™ has been tested and used in every US-involved war and conflict since WWII and has proven itself in every environmental condition and geographic location conceivable with real life (not just laboratory) experience and data with unrelenting reliability and superior service in the field. Long used and regarded as the best “CLP” (cleaner, lubricant, rust-protector) available, primarily pertaining to the lubrication and cleaning of high-end weapons, Clenzoil also has a tremendously large and broad base of applications given its highly diverse and impressive tolerance range with no determined breakdown or limitations of use at extremes.
A high quality one-step rust preventative and lubricant for lock, stock and barrel. It is effective in removing oils, dirt, copper, lead and other contaminants. It provides a thin, non-greasy coating that prevents rust and lubricates all moving parts of fine firearms and sporting equipments. Clenzoil also nourishes, preserves and protects wood & leather. It will not harm polymer or other synthetic surfaces. Great for wood stocks & grips, leather holsters, scabbards and slings.
Features
• A national favorite among competitive shooters, collectors and gunsmiths for over 60 years. Clenzoil is known for its deeper cleaning and penetration. You'll be amazed at the left-behind dirt, gunk and sludge Clenzoil will dislodge. Many gunsmiths and law enforcement officials compliment that a good internal cleaning with Clenzoil is just as effective as an expensive "trigger job".
• Clenzoil provides longer lasting lubrication and rust prevention.
• Unlike many other gun products, Clenzoil Field & Range(TM) is great for leather slings, holsters and scabbards. Clenzoil nourishes and moisturizes leather, preventing dry-out, rot and mildew.
• Clenzoil is fabulous for the treatment of wood. Never discolors wood, or attack fine wood finishes. Rather, Clenzoil cleans and nourishes wood without removing or damaging its finish. Wonderful for both modern hard finishes and traditional hand rubbed finishes.
• There's absolutely no Teflon or silicone to gum up your fine firearms! Unlike Teflon or silicone based products, Clenzoil never gets gummy, sticky or "snotty" in cold or wet conditions. It will not harden or evaporate over time and stays effective in heat and cold for years!!
• There's also zero H2O in Clenzoil. As hard as it might be to imagine, there are quite a few of companies who are actually marketing Aqueous, or water based products to clean and lubricate fine firearms. Water based or water soluble products share several similar traits, e.g. first while they might all claim to be environmentally friendly, the simple truth is that may not be the case. In fact, the water component may actually accelerate the absorption of the complete product into the environment; second, for obvious reasons, water based products are not recommended for use in extremely cold environments; third, due to the dilution factor attributed to water based products, they are generally just not as powerful a cleaning agent as non-water soluble products; and finally, who really wants to knowingly subject their firearms to water or moisture? Ask yourself why a company would use terms like Aqueous based instead of Water based if they didn't acknowledge the negative connotations of subjecting firearms to water.
• bottled in 8oz, Made in USA
Directions For Use:
If you are using a bottle of the "Field & Range," shake well before using. Apply a liberal coating to all surfaces of your firearm, both inside and out. Pass a saturated patch through the bore of the firearm and allow 2-5 minutes for Clenzoil to breakdown contaminants. Use bore brush of appropriate caliber as necessary; follow up with clean patches. Repeat as necessary. Apply Clenzoil to the action/ lock works of the firearm. This would include the bolt, fire control system, action, etc. Apply Clenzoil "Field & Range," with a lamb's wool applicator or soft cloth to metal, wood and leather surfaces.
To "winterize" your firearm for cold weather use in damp, extremely cold environments, reapply Clenzoil "Field & Range," both inside and out, 2-3 hours after the initial applications have been applied.
Cleaning Tip: Clenzoil R&D Staff recommends for heavily fouled barrels or during an initial (first time) cleaning, to leave Clenzoil in the bore for as long as possible. Some bench rest shooters tell us they will sometimes leave Clenzoil in the bore of their rifles overnight to get the maximum effort out of it! They will also soak bolts, and/or fire control systems in Clenzoil. Also, it's been found that the more Clenzoil is used on a firearm, the easier it becomes to keep the firearm clean. It also gets easier to actually clean your gun during future applications and use. Clenzoil will actually condition the metal surfaces of your firearm over a period of repeated use.
About Clenzoil (*extracted from the official website)
Clenzoil is the leading choice among US Military Forces and Law Enforcement agencies worldwide. Clenzoil was originally launched in 1948 with only a couple of primary products, however since then and our initial reorganization, many new products have been introduced and have become available covering a multitude of industry segments along with Clenzoil’s unique opportunity to provide specific, high-end, solution driven supporting products to the military and law enforcement industries worldwide. Since then, the name Clenzoil has stood for unyielding quality, surpassing both industry and military standards while delivering unmatched superior performance under the toughest and harshest conditions imaginable.
For years Clenzoil products have been used by military, law enforcement and civilian personnel primarily as a cleaner, lubricant and protectant for high grade weapons, weapon systems and firearms. Clenzoil products have also been used successfully in almost every industry segment spanning use for almost every task where a “CLP” product can and could be used. In our “field and range” category, Clenzoil has a well documented and an almost legendary and cult-like following among both civilian and military special forces as it is still considered (for over 60 years now) the “best of the best” in its field and application without equal.
Over the years and since its original development, Clenzoil has also been used and formulated for a variety of specific and non-specific tasks across a myriad of other non-military industries as well; in fact one of the first industrial users of Clenzoil was the US Atomic Energy Commission who in the early 1950s identified Clenzoil as the only known product to stand up against the extreme and harsh corrosive conditions under which it operated at that time. Clenzoil has also been successfully used to not only maintain but actually rehabilitate expensive equipment and machinery, factory and heavy equipment exposed to catastrophic fire, has been used to prep and protect heavy and light equipment before it leaves the factory on its way to the customer or end user, it is used by marine diesel companies and mechanics to clean and maintain fuel injectors and the tools required to work on them, wood laminating companies use Clenzoil to clean and prep their molds and trays as do many other companies involved with injection molding, it is used offshore on oil and drilling rigs in the harsh saltwater environment, etc., etc. – in fact, every day brings news of new and exciting applications for our products as far more uses exist in the everyday practical application of our products than can be categorized under any one single heading or claimed by any one industry.
