In cold weather, just as in tropical heat, soldiers outdoors need continuous hydration. In sub-zero weather, the military-standard plastic canteen is virtually worthless. It freezes far too easily and has little ability to keep hot liquids at an elevated temperature. Metal canteens are just as bad, but do have the advantage that they can be heated directly on a stove. For these reasons, the U.S. military developed the one quart Arctic Canteen, with characteristics specifically tuned for cold weather operational requirements.
The Arctic Canteen originated in the early 1960s, and was used by Special Forces in Vietnam. It was made of corrosion resistant steel (CRS, or stainless steel), contained in a cover/carrier. A second design, Canteen, Water, Cold Weather, CRS was specified in Nov-Dec 1988.
Referring to the first design, the Arctic Canteen is a one quart round-body, double-wall vacuum bottle with a white silicone mouthpiece and white polyethylene cap. The cap is attached to a lug on the canteen neck by a nylon lanyard. The inner wall of the canteen is stainless steel, while the exterior is aluminum. The Arctic Canteen is marked alongside its neck with US, the manufacturer (Wyott, VBC, ...), and the month and year it was produced. (*extract from www.olive-drab.com)

ORDERING
All orders are processed when they are received. All orders are considered as rush orders and are delivered at first place subject to availability.
Any change in the order must be made within 24 hours of placement of the original order. Orders that have already shipped out cannot be revised.
PAYMENT
Trading currency is in Australian Dollors only.
All orders are due on invoiced, i.e. payment is cleared and/or authorised by the bank prior to order delivery. Order will be automatically cancelled without notice when accrued payment is not received within 5 days after placing the order or prior to delivery in terms which is earlier.

SHIPPING
- All orders received before 2pm with cleared payment will be dispatched on the same working day; whereas the following working day.
- Postage quoted is to be sent by registered mail inclusive of insurance (within OZ), generally. FREE postage is offered for order value over A$200.
WARRANTY & RETURN
- FUSION GEAR endeavours to have replacement without charges in case where the goods arrive non-functional to the Buyer. The Buyer is obliged to notify FUSION GEAR of the intended replacement at first place. Fusion Gear will send the replacement to the Buyer within 7 days upon receipt of the faulty goods returned in good order that are not exhibited damage or non-functional as a result of use, which means no scratches, dents, chips, cracks or missing components. The Buyer shall ensure all items returned appropriately packed with original package in whole including all original components and accessories if any.
