Not just any old knife, but the B.W. Baker Peasant Knife.  B.W. Baker, Master Cutler, felt that the idea of creating his latest knife range was calling to him from the past.  Using old fashioned methods and relying on the oldest low-tech methods, Svord™ proudly present their Peasant Knife.  The Svord Peasant Knife is styled after very early folders without a back spring.  The B.W. Baker Peasant Knife is based on models used in Bohemia and Bavaria 3 - 400 years ago.  The general style goes back to Roman times, and was commonly used for working class knives until fairly recent times. 

The blade is held in place by friction, and the user's hand on the blade tang. The direction of force when cutting tends to hold the blade open, so this isn't a problem. They have a simple but clever arrangement in which the handle slabs flex a bit to provide friction which holds the blade in both the open and closed positions. The tension can be adjusted with the assembly screws.  The hardened and tempered high carbon steel blade is about .084" thick and has a convex grind with a secondary bevel. The blade is just over 3" long and the knife is about 8 1/4" overall when open.  The blade zone-hardened so the edge is hard and the back is tough. Despite the full size it only weighs about 2.5 ounces.

Hand crafted in New Zealand that each piece is unique.  This peasant knife is easy to use, easy to carry and to open.  Can be opened in one-hand.  Hang it from your belt or whisk from your pocket by its handy tang. Beautifully simple, but crafted by Svord from the finest steel, hardened and tempered to a secret formula.

ORDERING

All orders are processed when they are received.  All orders are considered as rush orders and are delivered at first place subject to availability.  

Any change in the order must be made within 24 hours of placement of the original order.  Orders that have already shipped out cannot be revised.

PAYMENT

Trading currency is in Australian Dollors only. 

All orders are due on invoiced, i.e. payment is cleared and/or authorised by the bank prior to order delivery.  Order will be automatically cancelled without notice when accrued payment is not received within 5 days after placing the order or prior to delivery in terms which is earlier.

Payment shall be made by any of following means unless specified.

SHIPPING

-      All orders received before 2pm with cleared payment will be dispatched on the same working day; whereas the following working day.

-      Postage quoted is to be sent by registered mail inclusive of insurance (within OZ), generally. FREE postage is offered for order value over A$200.

WARRANTY & RETURN

-         FUSION GEAR endeavours to have replacement without charges in case where the goods arrive non-functional to the Buyer.  The Buyer is obliged to notify FUSION GEAR of the intended replacement at first place.  Fusion Gear will send the replacement to the Buyer within 7 days upon receipt of the faulty goods returned in good order that are not exhibited damage or non-functional as a result of use, which means no scratches, dents, chips, cracks or missing components.  The Buyer shall ensure all items returned appropriately packed with original package in whole including all original components and accessories if any.
